Introducing The Village Archives

The Village Archives is a new, special feature of the Village Neighborhood Association website and is guest edited by architectural historian John Gomez, whose family has been a part of the Italian Village since 1971. John is the author of Legendary Locals of Jersey City (Arcadia Publishing 2014) and has been the architecture columnist for The Jersey Journal since 2004. A founder of the non-profit Jersey City Landmarks Conservancy, he holds a master’s in historic preservation from Columbia University and is an adjunct professor of urban architecture at St. Peter’s University.
