Decades ago, an evergreen tree in the triangle at Newark Avenue and Monmouth Street was decorated with lights for the holiday season by residents of the Village.

Two years ago, the Village Neighborhood Association brought back this neighborhood holiday tradition when we hosted our First Annual Village Tree Lighting. Thanks to the generous support of the Historic Downtown Special Improvement District (HDSID), Bouquets and Baskets, and BGT Enterprises, the VNA Board of Directors are able to, once again, invite you to the lighting of the Village tree! Hot cocoa will be served. Bring the kids!
